Silver Rag Ink Limits at 2880dpi?

Silver Rag Ink Limits at 2880dpi?

2007-03-20 by edrudolpho

I've just downloaded 2.5.1 in order to try the Silver Rag profiles.
What ink limits have you been using in the QTR driver when printing
these with these profiles at 2880 dpi?

thanks.... Ed

Ed,

You don't mention which printer.
For the R2400 I use just 1440x1440super but the dotsizes are well
matched so the
profiles are very good at 2880 as well.
For the 3800 I use 1440super (that's 1440x720) for 2880 they are
close. It's
probably OK as is, if anything I think just 5 to 10% less ink.

Thanks Roy.... after some quick measurements, I can now verify that
the 1440 and 2880 seem well matched. If you go to -10% ink link, with
the 2880 dpi, you're reducing dMax. I think 0% ink limit will be
okay. Printer is the 2400.
