Color Managing
2007-04-20 by sbourriaux
Hello everybody, I really need your help, I have a big problem with my color management since one month. I use Photoshop CS2 and Monaco EZ Color to calibrate my monitor and I have problems of matching. Before creating my profile, if I open a picture in Photoshop, I have the same colors and densities when I use Windows RGB and Monitor RGB in proof color (and when proof color is disabled) and if I use Windows explorer to preview the pics, everything matches. When I create my profile and load it with MonacoGamma and then open photoshop, it begins to be a real mess: on BW pictures, the shadows are open even if the color picker indicates 0 to 10 RGB (or 99 to 95 Black) and the densities between monitor RGB and Windows RGB don't match anymore in proof colors and I have to select monitor RGB to have the same shadow densities than on my prints done few months ago with QTR. Adobe Gamma is disabled, when I check in color setting, photoshop seems to use the monitor profile created by Monaco. Everything was working perfect few weeks ago and now I have this problem. Can someone help me please? REgards Stephane
