trouble using ink set in Epson 2400

Re: trouble using ink set in Epson 2400

I'm not aware of one. I thought I was the only one who had that
problem. Back in October of last year I couldn't get the K7
cartridges to fit in my 2400. There were numerous emails back and
forth between InkjetMall and myself. They sent carbon paper and asked
me to insert paper between the latch cover and the carbon paper to
determine where the latch was hitting. I took pictures and sent them
back. Turns out it was hitting on every cartridge preventing the
cover from closing. They sent another set of ink but it was no better
than the first set. I tried clipping the cartridge insertion catch
but then I couldn't get the cartridge out. I finally gave up and they
refunded my money. I'd love to give K7 ink a whirl but am a bit leery.

It must not be a huge problem as your note is the first I've seen. I
wonder if it's unique to just few 2400's?

I did have the same problem. In my case the hatch did close but
sometimes it sprang open while printing.

My fix for the problem is a strip of adhesive tape on the left side of
the ink container that keeps the hatch in place. I have to replace the
tape after changing ink for more than two or three times but besides
this small issue everything is working fine now.
