matt suggestions...

2008-01-04 by steve

hi all

I know this is a little off-topic, but I think some people here would
be able to answer my question.

I print my fine art b/w prints to 'hann photo rag'. I'm trying to
source a high quality matt to accompany my images in a classic black
alu gallery frame.

I'm struggling to find a quality matt that does my prints justice...
the samples in my local framers are just horrible (low qulaity, many
with a 'machine' texture)... I want a simple high quality bright white
archival matt with a very subtle 'natural' texture,

does anyone have any suggestions... I'm UK based if that helps

thanks in advance

steve

Silverprint have a Conservation Board that I think looks nice with HPR.
Only problem is they only do it in precut sizes of 12x16, 16x20 & 20x24
inches rather than metric sizes such as 40x50cm which are more useful
nowadays. Look under 'Mounting' on their website.

regards
Howard

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
