Epson R2400 and QT RIP

Epson R2400 and QT RIP

2008-01-09 by rexy1326

Hey All,

I'm new to digital printing. My equipment consists of X-rite PHOTO
LT, Epson R2400, and Mac OS X. I'm considering buying QT RIP. Does
it allow you to use profiles that have been created with the PHOTO LT?
I'll most likely be using Velvet Fine Art Paper an Exhibition Fiber
Paper.

Rexy,

Yes and no. Yes, you can use your spectrophotometer to read data and
build a profile, but no, you would not use the Photo LT software to do
it. Photo LT can be used to build your color profiles. You can
download software for free that allows you to read a test strip
generated by QTR, which is all you need to build or modify profiles.
But, you may not even need it. There are a lot of great QTR profiles
out there, especially for the 2400.

You can download QTR for free and try it out. If you like it, buy it.
