targeting curve

2005-07-30 by byushooter

I am still tweaking my carbon sepia curve for QTR and have another
question. I am wondering what is the best method for tweaking a
certain range of the curve when creating a profile. I'd like to
darken (very slightly) the 55-75% range of the stepwedge and lighten
(again, very slightly) the 20-40% range of the stepwedge. Is there a
way to specifically target those areas?

Thanks,
Jenny

If you are using the linearize feature of QTR, you could, when you are
entering the densities of the steps into the linearization process,
overstate the density of the steps you would like to lighten and understate
the density of those you'd like to darken. Not very scientific, but those
are my immediate thoughts, until I or someone else thinks of a more
structured approach.
