My first posting Quad 2.7 Mac OS X Leopord and an Epson 3800

My first posting Quad 2.7 Mac OS X Leopord and an Epson 3800

2010-10-03 by Vassar

Until recently, I have been printing through either Lightroom 2 or CS4 on an Epson 3800. I was using Tiger for my Mac. I upgraded to Leopard and lost my quad tone as a choice in the print dialogue box. So, naturally, I upgraded my QuadTone Rip from 2.6 to 2.7.
All things seem functional until after I hit print and nothing actually happens.
I have tried to print to printer in Ltrm and CS 3, 4. The print driver is up to date and the printer has worked for other prints.
Why is my Quadtone not speaking to the printer? And how can I correct.
Thanks
Frustrated and missing the RIP.
Sarah

Hi Sarah,

The standard OSX upgrade to Leopard looks like the printers are still
there but they are
missing the connection info. So you need to use Print&Fax to delete
the Quad... printer.
Then go and run the printer install script again -- ie. this one:
    /Applications/QuadToneRIP/Profiles/3800-UC/Install3800.command
