Removing and /or updating a printer curve on a Mac

Removing and /or updating a printer curve on a Mac

2011-09-16 by lockhart1969

I installed QTR on my new Mac Book and ran the install script for my printer. How do I delete curves I am not using or update an existing one.

I am not using the curves that ship with QTR, but no matter how many file I hunt down those curves still show up when I print from Photoshop etc...

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,

I am no expert in QTR (I just joined the group...), but this works for me:
1) remove the quadtone printer from your list of printers
2) remove the profile .txt files in QuadToneRIP/Profiles/R800-R1800-3MK (or for your specific printer)
3) remove the .quad files in /Library/Printers/QTR/quadtone/QuadR800-3MK
4) reinstall the QTR printer

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Jean-Yves

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
