Yeah, it plays each note as a gate is received. You can load in a long sequence of notes, then "play" a keyboard (sending gates to the PSIM). It doesn't matter which key you press, but everytime you press one the next note in the sequence plays. A great way to impress people with your monosynth playing skills ;) IIRC the little sequencer in the Roland SH-101 is like this when triggered externally. I like it because I can put 16 notes in the sequence and trigger it with a Mobius pattern that has 10 gates per measure (as in the mp3) and get a 16 measure long sequence. Even more fun, set up 4 sequences (one for each PSIM output) which are all different lengths (use prime numbers for maximum strength!) and get polyphonic mayhem :) My head's starting to spin again...
