Yeah, it plays each note as a gate is received. You can load in a long
sequence of notes, then "play" a keyboard (sending gates to the PSIM).
It doesn't matter which key you press, but everytime you press one the
next note in the sequence plays. A great way to impress people with
your monosynth playing skills ;)

IIRC the little sequencer in the Roland SH-101 is like this when
triggered externally. I like it because I can put 16 notes in the
sequence and trigger it with a Mobius pattern that has 10 gates per
measure (as in the mp3) and get a 16 measure long sequence.

Even more fun, set up 4 sequences (one for each PSIM output) which are
all different lengths (use prime numbers for maximum strength!) and get
polyphonic mayhem :)

My head's starting to spin again...

Cool! Man, when was the last time I sat up till 3 AM programming
BECAUSE I WANTED TO?!? Can't wait to get mine.

BTW< I especially liked the second part of the sample. And the
comments of the code had an intriguing phrase: "use keyboard to play
rhythm while PSIM plays notes". Sync'd I imagine, right?

Mike, nervously pacing ideas percolating...

In which case you could use the keyboard's Pitch CV output to control the
filter cutoff or other parameter(s). You'd control the tone, meanwhile the
pitch would automagically be perfect.
