Well, it depends which "ground". The ground on the Cyndustries supply is likely from the other side of the transformer and not the mains side. Ideally you would tap off the transformer ground from the side that's stepped down. This typically would require you to open the other supply if it isn't furnished and break it out. You could use the mains ground but that is likely to be full of noise and all sorts of audio nastyness from everything else in the building. It will provide a common ground but it also may induce all sorts of hum etc. James R. That (grounding) was my main original concern. Can someone confirm this one way or another? If the case is yes can I do that via the sixpaks or should I wire the grounds of the two power supplies directly? thanks! --- In The_Cyndustries_List@yahoogroups.com <mailto:The_Cyndustries_List%40yahoogroups.com> , Chris Muir <cbm@...> wrote: > Shouldn't there be something about connecting the grounds on the old > and the new supply in this list? > > > On Jun 10, 2009, at 7:25 AM, stevemodularland wrote: > > #1 Test it to make sure it makes a clean + and - 15V > > > > #2 Make a cable to connect it properly to the distro card > > > > #3 Test the distro card to double check that voltages are correct > > > > #4 Plug in your modules > > > > #5 Make a drink based with clear rum > > > > Do NOT "add" power in "parallel" with the other power supply.
