Well, it depends which "ground".  The ground on the Cyndustries supply is
likely from the other side of the transformer and not the mains side.
Ideally you would tap off the transformer ground from the side that's
stepped down.  This typically would require you to open the other supply if
it isn't furnished and break it out.  You could use the mains ground but
that is likely to be full of noise and all sorts of audio nastyness from
everything else in the building.  It will provide a common ground but it
also may induce all sorts of hum etc.

That (grounding) was my main original concern. Can someone confirm this one
way or another? 

If the case is yes can I do that via the sixpaks or should I wire the
grounds of the two power supplies directly?
