thanks victoria. it is jsut basic simple looping using the boss rc50 (think that is it) and alternating between long and short delays. it is just like jamming with other people except they aren't there. get an echo pedal and try it. you can tap match the beat machine but being precise isn't as critical as you might think. overlapping offsets makes for fuller sounds. all of my loops are slack and non precise. playing with loops is not only easy, but it makes it easier to stay on pitch. this teaches your circuits to do the same eventually without the loops. if you want to have more control or be more precise then you need software or a more advanced looper. for me, the less i have to think about technology or technique, the more i can concentrate on not thinking at all and just playing the music. if you want to go cheap, get one that has at least a 2 second delay, otherwise the rc 50 or the line 6 delay are good. i'm sure there are others that may be better. rupert --- Victoria Lundy <victoria@...> wrote: > It's a virtuoso use of looping.
