AETHERPHON, global theremin family

Hello everyone,

I've had my Etherwave for about a month now. It worked beautifully out
of the box, but now, the volume control antenna is not behaving as it
did.  Now, it behaves more like an on-off switch.  When my hand is 3
or 4 inches from it, it falls silent, and when I move my hand away, it
instantly becomes loud and remains at the same volume no matter how
far I move my hand.  In other words, there is no gradual increase or
decrease in volume, just a sudden volume or no volume.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this.  I hope it is merely
something I am overlooking.  I looked at MoogMusic.com and discovered
that warranty is valid only if returned in the original box, right
down to the original foam packing.  I've looked everywhere and am
pretty sure my wife threw the box out.
