No instruments, just slicing and dicing sounds on this CD. Bohnmedia is a small label my brother James started as an adjunct to his work as a recording engineer-- he's also heavily into circuit-bending, and previously designed a few alternate MIDI-controllers, including the Plaid-Jacket MIDI- controller (sort of self-explanatory), and the Dangertron, a MIDI-controller made from circular saw-blades (I kid you not); both of these are now mothballed, the plaid jacket being particularly fragile. He was also involved in a project involving remote-controlled toy pianos, but I don't know any more about it. This is the first of a projected series of limited-run, themed anthology CDs; the series will be curated by myself and my brother. I suspect that we'll both contribute tracks to each CD as it happens (I did three tracks totalling about 9 minutes, and generated the cover graphic; my brother did two tracks totalling 12 minutes, and did the actual design work on the CD). Given that a mutual friend of ours plays theremin, I wouldn't discount the possibility of a theremin-themed CD down the road, though it won't be until 2009 at the absolute earliest. >Can you tell me more about this release?
