Thank you for passing this on, Gordon -- glad to hear that my concert
impressed some people -- even some critical folks.

I didn't get to finish my set -- in fact, only got through two songs
before my equipment started to go flakey on me. Fortunately, before
my set, Jason Danillo with Moog Music gave a "sneak preview" of their
new product: "The Moog Guitar". So, I asked if Jason would join me on
stage for an improv. I plugged my theremin into a d/i box, Jason
plugged in, another of Jason's band members joined in on sax -- and we
improvised a kind of sweet, spacy number that lasted 10-15 minutes (we
just stopped when it felt "right"). I was fortunate that these
excellent musicians were willing to jump in and save the show!

I felt really disappointed and frustrated when I went back to my room
-- so much preparation went into this and to have an equipment failure
was hard to bear. The next day, I was overwhelmed with the outpouring
of support from everyone. Folks liked my prepared works however they
seemed to be moved by the impromptu improv done on the fly.

The organizers felt for me, too. I was able to reconfigure my
equipment and they gave me a slot on Saturday to perform "Mummies and
Unholy Ghosts".

The concerts were all very enjoyable. The level of ingenuity and
musicianship was high. And, there were moments of exquisite beauty.
One performance in particular brought me to tears. I managed to dry my
eyes and regain composure by the time the show ended and the house
lights came up.

Music breaks down barriers and can fill the soul. I left Asheville
with many new friends, great memories, and fresh inspiration.

I wish you all could have been there.
