Re: [Aetherphon] New Microphone

Why don't you record your theremin direct? Does Gabby have some sort of built-in amplifier that sounds great? What am I missing here?

When I record theremin, I usually run it through a Pod, so give it a little amp colour and some delay and 'verb. I can see how that might seem a little like polluting the sound of such a great hetereodyne axe, but there are tube-pre input devices that would work much better than a mic. Just a thought.

I was wanting to record some music for David using Gabby, but all I
have been using in the past (believe it or not) was this cheapie Rat
Shack desk microphone with the standard mini stereo plug. I went ahead
and ordered a Nady USB-24M that plugs directly into your USB2.0 port
and works with Audacity. It seems to be the most ordered item on
Musician's Friend.

The setup is crude, but I wanted to make it slightly less crude.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
