Thoughts and Ramblings

Thoughts and Ramblings

2008-02-03 by kkissinger@kevinkissinger.com

Hello to all.

For those here on Aetherphone that also subscribe to Levnet just a
quick note to let you know that I (once again) unsubscribed from
Levnet and will post here in the future. For those here that are not
on Levnet -- count your blessings.

To play the theremin -- to create music -- to get bookings -- to build
our followings -- is all difficult. We all do these things in
addition to rising to challenges in our lives that have nothing to do
with music. I think it is safe to say that for everyone on this list,
to create music is a labor of love that we balance against our "day
jobs" and other commitments. None-the-less, to create and perform
music can be rewarding and we bring our own dedication to the effort.

I am currently working on my first CD that should be ready by June.
My date keeps slipping because of unforseen events that have kept me
away from the studio. The CD will be all original work and most of it
will be never-before-recorded works. The CD will focus on minimalist
and looping music.

Anyway, that's what I'm doing. Will be interested to hear what others
have in the works for 2008.

As far as "Levnet", I don't feel like I really "fit in" to that
environment. There are many individuals there that I count among my
theremin-playing-internet friends however I'm at a point in my life
where I prefer to read useful dialog rather than useless ad hominum
attacks. (I have not been subject to any personal attacks however
others have as of late and I have found it painful to read.)

Forgive this self-indulgent rambling. Thanks for reading anyway.

A good day to one and all.

I can understand. This latest round of stuff has turned me off again as
well.

Ah well, that's why we're here! :-) I'm happy that when people post
articles here, they're answered within hours, even if we haven't said
anything in a month. Y'all are paying attention.
