Calling for videos
2008-05-04 by David V
Hello everyone, One of the projects that I've been working on behind the scenes is a video podcast version of Spellbound, a brief program of music for theremin. I am asking for video submissions for this project. Let me state this upfront before you ask: I CANNOT use your video from YouTube. When you upload it there, it's encoded in FLV (Flash Video), which is a rather poor video format. If you are a thereminist and you are already on Spellbound's playlist, all you need to do is get me your videos. They should be in as high a quality as you can manage. If you have a place on the Internet where they can be downloaded, that's perfect. Some type of lossless compression format is best. E-mail me if you have any specific questions. If you aren't on Spellbound's playlist yet, then please consider doing so! Visit the show's web site at http://spellbound.purplenote.com and click on the Submit Music link. And again, I CANNOT use your video on YouTube. I also cannot use videos posted to MySpace TV, as they work very hard to prevent their videos from being downloaded, and they're also in FLV format as well. Thanks in advance for your interest!
