not dead...in England

not dead...in England

2008-05-25 by Lunette Records

Hi chaps, yes also not letting grass grow under feet in England - went on a
fun mini-tour to Berlin with John Callaghan and of couse those krauts love
the theremin, couldn't get em to take their hands off it and always had to
turn down the amp during the post-gig 'try out' session to avoid driving
everyone crazy! (know the feeling?)

The 'importance of being analogue event' , part of Futuresonic festival in
Manchester, was well received. A bit like a Mechano club for analogue
collector - there were VCS3s, mini-moogs, and all kinds of other gear to
listen to and try - it got noisy! The three there thereminists were: Alexx
aka C-Cat, Nachtsmeer (doing some interesting effect putting Etherwave Pro
through a Moog Voyager) & me. Not much chance for any kind of rehearsal, so
what we played was really just a free-improv jam but it didn't turn out too
bad: videos here:

"fantastia on a theme" is the theremin trio - although it isn't Schumann,
it's actually a Bach Chorale...

Great to hear from you, Susi.

Is that your Tvox theremin? I know that you play an Epro but didn't
know about the Tvox.
