     Ty'ava Records announces the release of the new *ERIC ROSS* CD "*Boulevard
d'Reconstructie-Music for Theremin and Ensemble". *American Composer*, **ERIC
ROSS* " has excited audiences with his fiery virtuosity and innovative
work"-*Washington Post*.   He performs on piano, guitar, synthesizers, and
is a Master of the Theremin, one of the first electronic instruments. His
compositions, a combination of written and improvised music, include
elements of jazz, classic, serial, electronic, and avant garde. This CD,
third in the series on the artist's own label, gives the listener a close
encounter with Ross' latest music in a high quality audiophile recording.
Prominently featuring the Theremin, Eric performs solo and with his All-Star
USA and Euro groups, including jazz and new music giants, John Abercrombie,
Andrew Cyrille, Oliver Lake, Leroy Jenkins, Byard Lancaster, Simon
Stockhausen, and the Berlin Jazz Orchestra among others.  Recorded live on
the road (the "*Boulevard"*) at Newport, Berlin, Montreux, North Sea,
Copenhagen,
Calgary Jazz Festivals, and in studios in New York, Paris, Prague, Amsterdam

*BIOGRAPHY*

*ERIC ROSS *-has presented concerts of his original works at Lincoln Center,
Kennedy Center, Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels, Berlin, Newport, North
Sea, and Montreux Jazz Festivals, Prague New Music and Gilmore International
Keyboard Festival among others worldwide. For over twenty years he's led his
ensemble that's featured jazz giants, Andrew Cyrille, John Abercrombie,
Larry Coryell, Oliver Lake, Leroy Jenkins, Byard Lancaster, New Music
Virtuosos, Youseff Yancy, Lydia Kavina, Robert Dick, and others Since 1976,
with his wife, Mary Ross, he's presented multimedia performances with video,
music, dance, film and computer art. In 2006, he was guest artist on the
No.1 Best-Selling CD album in Japan, Aqi Fzono's "*Cosmology". *He's played
with blues legends Champion Jack Dupree, Lonnie Brooks, Sonny Terry, Brownie
McGhee. and appeared with BB King on Danish Radio/TV.


*Eric Ross* began playing the Theremin in 1975, and has performed on radio,
film and TV. He's written an *Overture for 14 Theremins* playing
simultaneously, and gave the world premiere of Percy Grainger's *Free Music
No.1* in New York City in 1997.  He was Master Teacher at the First
International Theremin Festival. As a teacher he's lectured on his works
with Theremin, piano, guitar, at universities and high schools in the USA
and Europe. He is considered to be the foremost authority on Frederick W.
Riesberg, Franz Liszt's last pupil. Eric Ross was a friend of theremin
virtuoso,Clara Rockmore, and electronics pioneer, Robert Moog. In 1991, he
met and played for the inventor of the instrument, Professor Lev Termen.
He's drawn inspiration from them to continue developing the Theremin as a
voice in his own compositions.
