After a couple of weeks documenting and researching me into the ends of the network, I managed to install on PC a PCI SCSI controller brand model Tekram DC-395U, (the same type that the Adaptec 2940 PCI I arrived and did not work, so I could be fried or comes fried ....) I did it with a Plextor CD-ROM reader that chained with a 4.3GB hard drive and 512 blocks / sector in the PC, all connected to the internal connection of the controller. The controller is connected to the sampler with a Centronics adapter cable 50 - SCSI II 50, so I tried a bridge because the hard drive and the CDROM into the internal SCSI card sampler not recognized, always launch error "Hard Disk not ready "I even thought I had breack it ... But a strange thing 'cuase external connection works. I managed to load samples from the CDROM (monsters the ZERO-G!) But I still have the problem of hard disk. Is empty, not formatted and when I select it in the sampler continuously read the error "HARD DISK ERROR. " I tried to format with the same sampler and an infinite "HARD DISK FORMATIING ... Waiting ..." for 8 hours. I know that the sampler will not read or do anything beyond 512 mg, but seeing this post I understand that Is not formatted to 512 mg and stops, but remains "caught"? What AKAI format program I can give, if that program exists? Or should I format it in DOS? The PC detects the sampler and displayed on-device manager as <| SCSI Optical Device> but only when I select the SCSI ID of the sampler CD-ROM, if I select the hard disk ID and refresh the Adm. Device disappears. Regardless, both the disk as the CDROM and the controller are fixed in place Adm. XP devices. THANKS!Greetings from Spain.
