Jahn-Otto, I didn't try it yet, but there is a connector on the motherboard which can be used for the power supply of the hard drive. You will need to make that cable yourself but it can't be hard to make. Next you'll need a scsi flatcable and an L-shaped metal plate. This can be screwed next to the plate holding the floppy drive. This is what I could see on the pictures I got from the inside of the akai S1100 HD. Do this only if you have a basic knowledge of electronics. There is a risk of damaging the power supply of your S1100 if the power supply cable is not made properly. First check the voltages. The name of the connector on the motherboard is P125. Let me know if this works. If I can find a small scsi drive I will try to do the same. The sampler has onboard SCSI, and I'd like to install a 1GB SCSI disk that I have laying around. Could you please tell me what I would need to get this up and running? Is there a cable attached innside so that I can connect as is, or do I need to buy one separatly. If so, what kind of cable do I need? > > I have a Yamaha A5000 wich is connected to an external SCSI disk and a ZIP-drive.
