On an old Mac with Alchemy editing software you can transfer via midi or scsi, edit , and create new keygroups with full control of where the samples get assigned. I really wish there was a modern day equivalent but for old-school sampler management it's the bomb. I'll usually create my keygroups and programs with Alchemy, then have the Akai save the completed programs on a zip. Once on Zip you can make a disk image of it a burn it to an Akai formated CD which you can then import into a softsampler or have Translator or CDxtract convert to any format. --- Erik Hines <sablerock@...> wrote: > PC won't recognize Akai disks, and vice versa.
