The 4.4 Files i already have on my Harddisk. Therefrom i make the OS Disk. I'm not to be able burn Eprom's. But, with no working S1000 im not Interested to do this (Pay Money or spend Time). With the Rom's i mean, the two Chip's are labeled with different Gear Types, S1000 & S1100. If this an Problem? The 1100 have an Effect Unit, the S1000 not. So i Think, it's possible the Sound Probs are came from there. The OS attempt to Manage the DSP etc.? But do the OS from Disk override all Eprom Data? --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, PeWe <ha-pewe@...> wrote: > > > Software version isn´t a real prob, but higher software versions add > some important features, loading library content of the S-3000 series p.ex.. > Some bug fixes too and other new features I don´t have in my mind actually. > > Are you able to burn eproms? > > If yes, I have the images of latest software versions somewhere on my > harddrives, but have to look for ´em. > I hope they´re small enough to mail ´em to you. > > Please do me a favour, ask for a S-1000 service manual too,- I´d pay for > it if available. > > Schematics wouldn´t be enough,- I have some pages (not all) of the > schematics of a S-1100 but if you come to measuring on the digital side, > you need the default values reported in the SM. > > One of my S-1100 seems to have a very rare fault, - it shows all in the > display, you´re able to edit parameters, all the cards are working > including converters, it does all the test routines fine, it receives > midi, loads samples from disk,- but no sound. > Must be something on the digital mainboard and there´s no chance to > investigate without a service manual at hand. > > I´m happy to have another working S-1100, but I´mn not happy to have one > of the 2 samplers as a parts stock only, you know... :-) > So, I´m always interested to get it to run. > > PeWe > > marber_mba schrieb: > > > > > > Ooh Man! > > I'm so Stupid.
