S1000 Scsi to pc

S1000 Scsi to pc

2006-03-13 by flangbridge

Has anyone managed to get an s1000 to talk to windows xp using scsi ?

I have the IB-103 and an adaptec 2940 scsi card but they just dont talk.

it dont show in the scsi devices list. Hoever if i have a scsi cdrom in
the chain and i try to load a program from hard disk it spins the cdrom
then says disk not ready.

Any Ideas ?

Also I have they IB-104 digital adapter which I am not ever going to
use so if anyone is interested in it let me know.

It seems your SCSI cable or IB-103 is faulty.

If you have connected any SCSI drive to the S1000 w/ SCSI ID setted up
correctly (0 to 7 w/ exception of S-1000s default ID) it must work.

Is this card o.k. Is it working ?

If yes I\ufffdm interested and if your IB 103 is faulty, there\ufffds one here in
stock which I myself would have to test in a working machine.

Hello

Thanks for the reply

I have seen both the 103 and 104 working so I know they are not faulty. I
am guessing its the scsi cable which I suspected was the case in the first
place.

I have no digital kit so the 104 is pretty useless to me unless you know
of a way to back up my samples with it :-)

Would you consider a straight swap my 104 for your 103 ?

Frank
