Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

I've been trying to create an os disk for s1100 with s11k-430exe on my 
PC but i keep getting the message

'an application has attempted to directly access the hard disk, which 
cannot be supported. this may cause the application to function 
incorrectly. chose close to terminate the application'

Has anybody else had this? Am I doing something very wrong?

O.K. I've got around this (I think) by hitting the ignore button when
message pops up, the program then writes to the floppy but I don't get
the prompt to type my floppy type as mentioned in the readme, I put
the floppy back in the sampler and I get 'Unformatted floopy' message
and nothing loads when I go ahead and try to load OS in disk menu anyway.

Anybody out there still selling proms? this floppy OS stuff is growing
tiresome already, ho hum.

It's the Windows operating system. I could only get it to work by using a friends PC with 
Windows 98 on it. Anything above that throws up error messages.

Do you have Win XP on your PC ?
Creating a OS floppy for S-1100 worked here w/ s11k-430exe, - but under
Win98SE !!!
I used vbrun300 Win 98 disk writer to write an OS disk on PC, - s11k-430 exe
is only the OS for the S-1100 itself.
I mail you everything privately...

AHA!!!! I'm xp pro on the PC so that will explain a few things. I do
have an old PC with 98 on it somwhere i'll blow off the cob webs and
give it a go :-) (having said that its 1/4 the age of my sampler LOL)
