Dear Colin, Midi-ox is completely new to me, I just tried flashing with
onlyone midi lead connected, I was assuming some sort of handshaking was
required.

I got no bad data at all! the display was flashing between something I
couldn'tmake out and PGM OK @ nnnn
So it's my own silly mistake and I apologise for any time wasting.

It is a short and i shall remove it, it may account for a few oddities I
may havebeen experiencing but that is probably down to me being confused.
