luckily i was planning to do a windows app. ;) but it looks like a 
good starting point for a C++ novice, aimed in the right direction. 
the whole C++ thing is quite interesting, but i pretty much see it as 
another tool i'd like to use to get me where i'm going (not quite 
sure where that is yet though).. if i find it and it's possibilities 
interesting enough i might look deeper, but for now biased towards 
windows does me fine...
