Don't worry about that - you can't damage it with the wrong polarity as there's a diode there to block it. It simply wouldn't power up. P3 draws about 250mA, so I recommend a 500mA supply to allow for a generous margin of error. The PSU cant force more power in there than it wants. There's an electronic fuse in the supply too. Voltage wise, P3 regulates the incoming voltage to 5v internally. It needs the input voltage to be above 7.5v, but not too far above as the regulator converts excess voltage to heat. It runs fine with a 15v supply, but I recommend 9v since that's a widely available voltage used for guitar effects. If someone in the US can recommend a cheap, good quality supply that's known to work and has the right connector, I'll make that the 'officially approved US supply'. Cheers, Colin f
