One more time:
SAVING a pattern to, let's say, pattern 5 is editing in editmode, then 
press save, then press step 5 and voila, pattern 5 is in place.

EDITING an existing pattern 5 you HAVE to enter edit playlist,  and 
*then* press step 5?
WOW... THAT needs a change if possible Colin :-) Isn't it possible to 
create a keys-combination plus pressing the wanted pattern number 
(stepkeys) for this? Oh no, because you have not determined on what 
track you are then yet... You do that with entering playlist I guess...

I get the hang of it Paul, thanks! Confusing indeed though. The manual 
needs to be extended for this particular part I think...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
