That would be too big a change to the interface I think. But it's possible there may be some way to provide a shortcut that sets a group of steps to the same note, sets their gates on and automatically ties them. But there is already a way you can edit the note length on each step. The aux events 'set norm tbase' and 'set trplt tbase' can be used to vary the tbase, i.e. length of one step, on every step of a pattern. The values are not displayed as tbase values, but you should be able to judge by ear how long each note is. Cheers, Colin f
