> MidiOX has rather a lot of features, so it can be hard to find what you need. I just had another look at midi-ox, went though it as you suggested, which looks like what i was doing anyway, selected output device, clicked ok, adjusted sysex settings etc, tried several ways to send.. loading first, highlighting then sending... using send in the menu, copying it to the display window, sending it from there... you name it i've tried it.. the only thing i get out of midiox is a message saying "no output device is selected or there are no sysex buffers only manual dump supported" even though the device is selected.. well it says output opened in the monitor! It's a fresh install on a clean win2k system. Ooops.. I just realised I was using v6.0 ! Will try v7.0 later.. Anyway, its all academic at the moment as when i switch P3 on in any mode i get "CHKFAIL=FAE1" :-( > I uploaded an AVI of a successful flashing to the Yahoo files section, if it's any help. Yes, I watched the .avi and it was very helpful.. it tells me that there's an awful lot I'm not seeing!! :-) > If you want to send me the CPU I'll check it out for you. I'm off to > Synth DIY in Cambridge next weekend, so you'd need to get it to me > quick if you want it back next week. I've carefully teased it from the socket, tenderly wrapped it up (with a return label and some stamps) and popped in the post about an hour ago! I'm sure you can stir it from it's coma by singing it scottish lullabys, poking it with a sharp stick, zapping it with large voltages or whatever it is you tech types do! Thanks Colin :-) Regards, Phil
