I was going to say that MIDI sequencers (the software multitrack kind) have been syncing to MIDI clock for years - nay, decades - but I forgot that these days they do audio. I don't see why they shouldn't still sync to MIDI, since I suspect they run their audio soundbites in some kind of constant rate "fire-and-forget" mode - I think Performer has an option for configuring this - and the audio between multiple tracks should be locked in a sample-accurate manner anyway. But having said that, the whole concept of an audio sequencer locked to MIDI feels decidedly iffy.
