Added a redirect on step 2 as suggested and it started immediately 
doing what I originally wanted it to do.

Just to confirm something else I was testing - when a step is active 
and playing, the data (and knobs) associated with that step is not 
being continually scanned and refreshed, right?

IOW - if a step is active on a sequence set to tbase 1 and I twist
the note knob while it's playing, I don't hear a pitch change until 
the next time the note is triggered.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
