I own a Doepfer Schaltwerk and MCV24 MIDI-CV/GATE Converter. From personal experience, whether I drive an analogue synth directly from the Schaltwerk or from the MCV24 which is receiving MIDI notes from the Schaltwerk, it does the same job, can't notice jack in terms of latency. --- In analogue-sequencer@yahoogroups.com, "Colin f" <colin@c...> wrote: > > > > Will you be adding CV/Gates as a future addition so you > > can patch the P3 into modular systems via patch cords? > > I can't really see me adding CV/gate internally. > To get a reasonable number of channels, you end up with a load of connectors > on the back. > > There's little practical difference between a processor-based hardware > sequencer with MIDI driving a MIDI to CV convertor, and a similar sequencer > with native CV/Gate output.
