Rotary encoders / 360 deg pots would solve all these problems .... FUNC + knob turn = coarse adjust knob turn = fine adjust one click = query value on display without adjusting ? IMO, the lack of visual feedback you get with rotary encoders is no worse than the invalid visual feedback you get from a mismatch between the current and stored value. :: kkonkkrete :: --- In analogue-sequencer@yahoogroups.com, ch.³l <oozi@o...> wrote: > > hi Colin, > > > Pass-through mode could be annoying without some way to defeat it > > my Quasimidi 309 has 3 knob-modes; immediate, pass-through and > relative. personally i prefer the relative mode, where the stored > value is translated to the current knob position and the range to the > left or right of the stored value is translated to the remaining range > to the left or right of the current knob-position.
