Hi Greg, i've used successfully the p3 with software sequencers, mainly logic, but now i've switched to ableton live. So talking about logic, you will have to create an enviroment and choose if you want to route midi to external synths or audiounit synths. Are you on logic pro or express? With this you'll have to create a splitter so each channel from p3 goes to the right one on logic. Then, the p3 synced as slave works fine with any software sequencer!
