BTempo seems to be fine in the current build. I haven't got a copy of 41 to
test, but nothing related to that code was changed.
Could it be you have a dirty tempo knob ?
Try setting the 'lock BTempo' user conf option on.

The 3.1.006 release build is imminent.
I guess I should put up a release test. I'm testing it myself, but many
hands, etc.
I've got a strict deadline to get the release build out and manuals printed
before P3 hits the superbooth at the Musik Messe...
