RE: [analogue-sequencer] Re: sync'n two P3's together?

2006-02-28 by Jez Creek

I think their may be a problem with the sync output on some early production
models, I know there is on mine, when I had my maq hooked up to it, it would
often start of it's own accord and the timing between the two would drift.
Try using one of the other midi outputs and see if that improves things. I
think the problem can be fixed, but I've not had time to worry about it.

Which midi output are you using? My P3's sync output goes a bit

Hi Jez, the master P3, i am using the midi-sync output to
the slave P3's midi-input. However i set the midiclock on
the master to 'ON'. Both start at the same then one begins
to lag behind the other, usually the master P3, and the slave
P3 is in front by one or two steps ?

Hi there,

I have both of mine synced permanently as Paul has, and no trouble
has anything to do with your problem, but since updating to the latest
firmware-beta, v41, mine doesn't react to the BTempo-setting. It'll
show the set tempo on the display, but it plays at a different speed
altogether...

The master P3 is one of the newer models with firmware V3.1.006B
and the slave P3 has V3.1.005 firmware, will the slave P3 need an
update to the same as the master P3?

A1k
