Analogue-sequencer

Just got my P3 yesterday, wow!  In general I have to say that the 
learning curve isn't nearly as step as what I expected from some 
threads and I really love it overall.

However, is there a way to send the aux event when the knob is moved 
but not running?  I work with a bunch of plugins and they have a learn 
mode but not a way to manually assign a cc.  So, currently if I have 
an aux event set as CC#100, I have to set up my other midi controller 
to transmit cc#100, have the plugin learn that and then drive it with 
the p3.  Major pain.  Any thoughts or workarounds?
