Analogue-sequencer

Hello list, I have been away from my gear for the past two months.  
I had just tried my P3 last night (Kit, V1.5 boardset)and after a 
second of no lights, they began their blinky sequence but the Pled 
never came on.  I could still play and tweak my sequences (we dont 
need no stinikin display!) but my display never came on. 

 Could this be caused by a wall wart not putting out enough juice?
 Its a 9v 600ma from Mouser about two yrs old..  
 On a related note, this kit built unit has always had a problem 
where if I play with it for an hour, turn it off and then back on 
again, it wont boot up, I just get a few random leds, nothing more.  
Its never really bothered me but I want to get it 100% sorted before 
I upgrade the OS. (3.107?)

 so NO display?
 and
 no boot after beign fun for an hour or so..?

any help or tips would be greatly appreciated, my MIDI-CV will be 
here within a week!!
