When you record notes, if one note is held during a step, that is written to the primary note. If more than one note is held, the lowest note is written to the primary note, and the rest to any available auxes. If you add more notes on top of existing notes, the new notes are written into the auxes in order. So if you had 5 notes on a step, and you play a note note chord over that step next time round, the notes and auxes C and D will still be active. This can cause unexpected things to happen, especially with relative aux notes. But personally I really like to be able to record a chord in by holding it for a whole bar with ties turned off, then playing in a 'chord memory' type pattern by playing a new single note pattern to change all the primary notes. When you hold 'del' while recording, the main gate, and any aux notes are turned off, but other auxes are left intact. > if you have a repeat aux > event & then some additional notes, do they sound with the repeats too > or is it just the "primary" note? The aux notes also repeat. However, relative aux notes dont repeat correctly, as I just noticed... ;-) Best regards, Colin Fraser Sequentix Music Systems Ltd http://www.sequentix.com
