New features only appear in versions later than those they are added to.
Due to restrictions in the space time continuum, I am unable to add new
features to older versions.

Could be you have gbar set to 1, or maybe skip set on steps 2 to 8.
Did you do a full memory initialise before starting to create patterns, i.e.
F1 + 7 at power on ?
