Should I > be concerned? There was a problem with an earlier version of the P3 bootloader which is the likely cause of this error. Due to some inaccurate information in the datasheet, a control bit for the CPU is set wrongly, which prevents the bootloader from writing to the very top of the internal flash memory. With a firmware image over a certain size, the last few blocks will not write, and you get a checksum error. The P3 may still boot and run, but if it attempts to access any of the data stored in the unwritten blocks, weird things may happen. Download and run the bootloader update from Yahoo files.
