yes.... but.... then I'd have to program the whole thing ahead of time.
I used to do this very laboriously with my mmt8, having first recorded a pattern using the assign-mode of the arpeggiator in my beloved (& now defunct) prophet 2000 keyboard.
we persuaded the maq to do it the first day we had the thing ("scud", on the "diabolica" album. I think.) but it was so clunky to set up.
what I like about the repeat-aux on the p3 is that I can stab a pattern in quickly from the keyboard, while the sequencer is running & the tracks is audible (i.e. in front of people or during a recording), then arm the aux, try it in a few different places, switch it on & off a few times... vary the velocity or pitch too.... & anyway, no-one's ever mentioned that the p3 "post-trill" is in any way less effective than the TD version. did you manage to dig out the aforementioned's 1978 opus then?
