I can certainly understand, but given the price of hardware step sequencers, especially with cv/gate - the Cirklon seems to be very nicely priced. Perhaps it's not fair to compare to the Octopus, since you're paying for the form factor, cosmetics, etc - but maybe the Schrittmacher is a good comparison. The Cirklon should be coming in well below that. The Signal Arts Tetra MAPS is another good comparison - it's a bit less than the Cirklon, and has its own unique style to recommend it - but the Cirklon is overall much more powerful, Colin has a history of updating the firmware much more frequently. And while the Schrittmacher also has some things to recommend, it also doesn't compare overall with the feature set of the Cirklon, and doesn't have cv/gate at all. There is the Nemo - my personal experience with it was that the interface was nowhere near as friendly as the Octopus, and it also has no cv/gate. Of course, that doesn't help you if you don't have the $ - but once these reach production, there will eventually be used ones at lower prices. And it looks like the Cirklon will sell at a lower price than used p3's were going for just awhile back. > I've been in love with the system and a member since it's startup. > As a kid I couldn't afford even the DIY system.
