The waiting list is long enough that some will probably have to wait for the next production batch. The slower than expected rate of production has been down to two main things - the feature-creeping CV interface board, and back-ordered encoder knobs. The units that have shipped so far went out minus CV boards. I received the first batch of CV interface PCBs this week, and I'm assembling and those testing now. The back-ordered knobs are out of my control. I thought I had all required stock of the parts that might cause me trouble (key-caps and switches, CPUs, etc.) when the enclosures were ready, but I had assumed that the 16mm soft-touch knobs without indicator lines were commonly available. It was only when my usual source ran out, I discovered no-one else carries them, or an alternative that would fit the same aperture and panel height. I've had samples direct from the factory to try getting a better lead-time than waiting for Farnell, but the samples had slightly larger shaft spacing, and wont grip the encoders. So in the meantime, I'm hand-building units until I use up the limited stock of knobs I did manage to get. Once I have stock of all the parts to finish the first batch, I can order the populated boards for the rest of them - around 40 units. In theory, they could be ready by Christmas if the knobs arrive in stock tomorrow. In practice, we'll have to wait and see.
