Yes, this seems to have done the trick. It's been happily running for a couple of hours. What could have caused this flash rom corruption? (is there a .mid for v4.5 somewhere? Or what tool is there for linux to send a sysex file? I've used kmidimon to upload the 4.0 mid version.)
