Logic's environment is a very old and slightly creaky part of the 
program. It has great power for the patient geekster, but also has some 
limitations due to the fact it hasn't been touched since the pre-Apple 
days when Logic was bold and innovative. I haven't touched it much since 
those days either as I've found anything that pushes Logic too hard in 
directions it's unhappy with tends to make it fall over. YMMV.
