So check whether Logic can work as a thru? I'm sure it does as I can 
play a hardware synth via my keyboard and there's no difference between 
MIDI from my master keyboard (also USB) and Cirklon.

Yep you can do this, I'll do it again later to verify but, again, 
there's no difference between selecting the MIDI input for a real or 
virtual instrument.

Again, that was one of the first MTC tests done yonks ago. I'll redo it 
though as I've not retested in, well, a long time. I doubt Colin's 
changed anything there though.

Will drop you a PM with the results, could take a day or so though as 
it's sunny and the studio is hot and stuffy :)
