Indeed. When initialising a bank, all playlist steps have chg set to B,
though it has been suggested that maybe P should be the default. Any
comments ?

Agree. Plus it would help when doing tutorials as you can avoid that
whole gbar thing until later when you're ready. Otherwise you have to
explain why your 7 note pattern is not just looping in chunks of 7...

being an impending newbie and a UI designer, i'd suggest that P would be
more intuitive... because i'd imagine that, like gene, when someone goes
to change the pattern loop point, they'd expect it to run 1-11, 1-11,
etc... 1-11, 1-5, 1-11 seems like a fancy trick, which means it should
probably be a user choice instead of a default...

any other opinions?

I would generally use p. More importantly, my initial confusion has
traumatized me forever. Maybe adding one of those config options?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
